i have 2 dates of form:
start date: 2007-03-24 end date: 2009-06-26
now need find difference between these 2 in next form:
2 years, 3 months , 2 days
how can in php?

you can utilize strtotime() convert 2 dates unix time , calculate number of seconds between them. it's rather easy calculate different time periods.

edit: preferred way of doing described jurka below. code recommended if don't have php 5.3 or better.
several people in comments have pointed out code above approximation. still believe purposes that's fine, since usage of range more provide sense of how much time has passed or remains rather provide precision - if want that, output date.
despite that, i've decided address complaints. if need exact range haven't got access php 5.3, utilize code below (it should work in php 4 well). direct port of code php uses internally calculate ranges, exception doesn't take daylight savings time account. means it's off hr @ most, except should correct.
