following redirect stdout , stderr logfile:

$ command &> logfile

how do redirection without overwrite logfile during next run of command. >> if plain redirection.

you attach stderr (2) stdout (1) , redirect stdout in append-mode:

command >> logfile 2>&1

the 2>&1 bit attaches stderr stdout , redirect stdout append logfile in usual manner.
